I've long loved this flower, but only discovered it's name after publishing the picture on the net. I'd been told it was the garlic flower, but it turned out to be wild carrot. In the center of the blossom there is a black patch. Flies are fooled into thinking that this is another fly that has found food, and they join for the feast, and in so doing help spread the seeds.
